Happy 31st!

Yesterday (Saturday) was the hubs' 31st birthday. Since the boys are really into birthday parties and don't understand the concept of what they call real vs. fake birthdays (your actual birthday and the day you celebrate), they wanted to have his birthday on Friday. So about a week ago when we were in Walmart for I don't remember what, we picked up plates, napkins and a birthday banner. I intended to get balloons but that never happened. Anyway, Chris is very blah about his birthday and wouldn't care if we did nothing for it. But I made his favorite, enchiladas, and I made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing. I also made a few with buttercream icing for the boys-they are not adventurous eaters. I think it all turned out pretty well. My parents and brother came to dinner with us, we celebrated with his parents and brother and sister in law and their kids today because they were all out of town for my nephew's all star tournament. Here are a few pics.

Chattanooga

Last week the boys and I went to Chattanooga with my parents for a little two day trip. Chris wasn't able to go because we went during the week and he couldn't get away from work. Let me just say, I love that my boys are so energetic and active, but WOW do they have a lot of energy. I mean, that's not something I just learned on this trip or anything...I witness this daily. But when you are in a hotel room with three kids it can get loud.

Anyway, we had a great time and the kids were up for all of it. We went to the Tennessee Aquarium, the Chattanooga Zoo and the Choo-Choo. I have to say, I was slightly disappointed in the choo-choo. We were there on a Tuesday and a lot of the fun things were closed. Maybe if we went back on the weekend it would be different. They did have a really fun little scrapbooking store there. I got a few things to scrapbook with (you know, in all the spare time I have). I think the aquarium was my favorite part. I think the boys loved the hotel pool as much as they loved anything else!

Chattanooga is a fun city and I would love to go back and take the kids to the children's museum and just kinda hang around a little more. Thanks to Granny and Papa for taking us on their trip!

A Few More

Keep in mind, I really have no idea what I'm doing. This is just something fun I like to do and I'm learning as I go.

Sawyer and I played 'photo shoot'

Sawyer and I had the afternoon to ourselves while the big boys were hanging with Granny and Papa, SO we decided to go outside and take some pics (after his nap and a little work for me). Yes, my child is tired of photos, and yes, my children wear the same clothes all the time (we are in a Batman, Superman, Spiderman -pretty much all superheroes-phase right now, so this is what they prefer to wear).

Hawaii (a year late)

Here's a fun post. Chris and I had the opportunity to go to Hawaii last April. AWESOME. Well, the flight there was not awesome, the time there was awesome, and the flight home was less than awesome. Anyway, we were only there a few days and Chris did have some work stuff to do. However, we got to do some fun things as well. We went to Pearl Harbor, ate dinner at this really fun restaurant, shopped a little and we went on a LOST tour. The LOST tour was the first thing we planned when we found out we were going. Most of my Hawaii pics are on facebook but here are a few of my faves from the tour. (You may have to be a Lost fan to get most of these pics)
This is Chris and me pushing Hurley's van down the hill.
This was us hiding behind the logs that Dr. whoever and those kids hid behind in Jurassic Park. See, that dinosaur is trying to eat us.
 Hurley's Golf Course. Enough said.
Look, Hurley showed up to play golf with Chris!
 Take that smoke monster!
Happy Robin in Hawaii!

Mama got a new camera....

And as you can see I've gone slightly picture crazy. I am as amateur as you can get here. So much that I'm not even sure how to spell amateur. Anyway, this little area is the foyer in our new house-which will get a post later-and I love it. I love my picture wall, my green chairs, the light that comes in. So it's the best place to play with settings on my camera. Anyway, here are a few of my cute kiddos that I took.

Owen INSISTS on wearing his Mickey ears for these photos.

He also insists on making silly faces.
